Source says customised sarod might not even have ‘reached JB’s hands’
Justin Bieber came played and fled, leaving behind a trail of embarrassing questions for the organisers. Beginning with why fans got to see Bieber miming his songs on stage and ending with his absolute disregard for Indian sentiments. He refused to meet anyone for a one-on-one and cancelled the after-party. Jacqueline Fernandez, who was Bieber’s backstage hostess, was barely acknowledged by the singer.
The worst insult was to sarod maestro Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, who gifted a specially designed sarod to Bieber, especially designed for a left-handed musician like Bieber.
Alas, the intended gift remained unattended and unacknowledged. A source says, “I doubt Khansaab’s gift actually reached Mr Bieber’s hands. There is no acknowledgement of the same.”
