"Yes, Deepika's thrilled and can't wait to begin shooting," says the source, adding that she's expected to start the film soon after wrapping her film with actor Ranbir Kapoor.

But ask Deepika about the genres that she is really keen on doing, and the actor says that action is high on her mind, as is romantic fare. "I'm looking forward to doing many more love stories and an action film for sure."

She adds, "Action is a genre that I'm yet to tap fully (she had earlier tried action in Chandni Chowk to China). It would be pretty thrilling to be able to do pull off some stunts on my own, so I wish I could do an out and out action film."

Something on the lines of Uma Thurman's Kill Bill or Angelina Jolie's Tomb Raider? "Yes, why not?" she quips. What works in her favour, feels the actor is also her athletic background. "I've always been into sports, so it's not like I can't take on physically strenuous activities on screen. I think more than anything, it would be a fun challenge for me," shares Deepika.

The actor, however, feels that there's no choosing one genre over the other. "It's hard to say whether I prefer romcoms over action or drama, I think each has it's own excitement."

The actor who's recently also shot for Saif Ali Khan's Cocktail, feels that working with the actor-producer is always very comfortable. "Saif is very professional and a great co-star to work with for sure. You feel comfortable working around him," she adds.

Meanwhile, the actor's also been garnering praises for her music video that she's done with choreographer-singer Ganesh Hegde. "Ganesh and Deepika get along really well, so when he asked her to star in a music video with him she readily agreed.  The song Bollydude Ganeshan has Deepika dance in true blue retro style," says a source.

"When Ganesh made me hear the song, I thought it was very catchy. I think what's more exciting is the concept with which we've shot the video. I think he's really put together something almost like the Austin Powers for the first time ever," says Deepika
