Cycle Agarbathi ropes in Amitabh Bachchan as brand ambassador

South India based Cycle Agarbathi has roped in Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan as its brand ambassador as it eyes a bigger share in the Rs 2,400 crore market.

"We have roped in Amitabh Bachchan to push our brand further and gain market share," owner of the brand N R Group Director Arjun Ranga said on Friday.

"We are the largest organised agarbathi player with 20% market share in the organised segment, pegged at Rs 2,400 crore," he added.

According to Ranga the group is aiming to double the market share with enhanced brand promotion and is planning to double its distribution over the next three years. Ranga said the company is focusing on the West Bengal market to push its sales as its marketshare here is 15 per cent.

Speaking about exports, he said the total size is Rs 450 crore and for the company 10% of its revenue comes from overseas markets.
