Love, 45, lost custody of daughter Frances, 17, by her late hubby Kurt Cobain in December 2009 when a Los Angeles county superior court judge gave her guardianship to Cobain's mother Wendy O'Connor and sister Kimberly Dawn Cobain.

"Bean, I saw you at Coachella in a pic...," the Mirror quoted Love as writing on Twitter. The Hole singer continued: "I love you, sorry to take to the world wide ethernet but I love you and I dont know how to tell you without telling one of the pack, madly.

"I know you dont want me to not succeed and I know you're wiser than anyone I know, but I know you need me and I need you. I miss you Bean."

Saying she saw Frances pictured with a boy, Love said "he looks sweet and like your dad actually" but went on to rant about men and relationships, advising: "If he's not treating you like the Goddess you are baby, get the hell out, do not settle."

She concluded: "I'm going to chant now. I'll probably delete half of these but the boy stuff you need to hear only from me."
