In his latest speech, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had asked his fellow Indians to spare nine minutes of their time on Sunday at 9 pm by switching off the light and holding candles, diyas, torches or more in their balconies. Tollywood stars Ram Charan and Chiranjeevi came out in support of PM's decision.

The father-son duo created a video showing their support towards the cause. While Ram Charan asked his fans with a smile to switch off the lights and light diyas, Chiranjeevi stressed on the importance of following the '9 baje 9 minute' and fighting coronavirus in unity.

“I am proud of everyone who has faithfully been abiding by the lockdown! My love to you all. ‪With the same spirit, let's light up lamps and come together to spread awareness for 9 minutes at 9 pm this Sunday. Don’t forget!,” wrote Ram Charan while sharing the video.

Meanwhile Chiranjeevi tweeted, “On #5thApr20 @9 PM for 9 minutes, respecting our beloved PM’s call, let us all light lamps to drive away the darkness and gloom of #Corona Let’s stand for our country and let’s reiterate that we stand for each other!”

On the work front, Ram Charan will next be seen in the much-awaited SS Rajamouli directorial 'RRR'. He is paried opposite Jr NTR and the movie also features Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt in cameo appearances. On the other hand, Chiranjeevi will next be seen in 'Acharya' opposite Kajal Aggarwal. The movie is interestingly bankrolled by Ram Charan, who is also reportedly going to feature in a 30-minute role in the movie.
