On Sunday, Kashyap tweeted to Modi, “Sir, you haven’t yet said sorry for your trip to meet the Pakistani PM. It was December 25. Same time, KJo was shooting ADHM. Why?”

Shatru retorts, “I am extremely proud of the effort our PM has made in the past to bring peace between the two countries. Let’s not undermine his efforts. Anurag should remember that political dynamics change rapidly. Today’s friendly neighbour becomes tomorrow’s sworn enemy and vice versa.”

Sinha is also puzzled by Kashyap’s efforts to connect Modi’s visit to Pakistan last December with Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. “Nor do I understand the connection between Karan and Anurag,” he adds.
