Coldplay has been voted as the best festival headliner of 2011.According to an online poll conducted by BBC 6 Music, the English alternative rock band, which headlined Glastonbury and T In The Park, have topped the survey with 22.7 per cent votes. US rock band The National came in second with 14.2 per cent votes, whereas Muse came in third with 13.9 per cent votes.Will Champion, Coldplay’s drummer, told BBC 6 Music that playing festivals gave the band “a chance to win people over”.“But there’s also a strong possibility that people have already made their mind up about you,” BBC News quoted him as saying.“And no matter how well you play they’re not going to be happy about it,” he added. Top festival headliners for 2011 were:1. Coldplay - 22.7 per cent2. The National - 14.2 per cent3. Muse - 13.9 per cent4. Pulp - 8.2 per cent5. The Cure - 5.8 per cent
