Two years ago, The Jungle Book created history at the box office, both internationally as well as in India. Now, the Rudyard Kipling classic is being adapted into a feature film titled Mowgli: Legend Of The Jungle, for an international digital platform. Hollywood actors Christian Bale, Cate Blanchett, Freida Pinto and Benedict Cumberbatch have lent their voices to it. However, for the version dubbed in Hindi, the OTT platform has got some bigwigs from Bollywood. Anil Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Abhishek Bachchan and Madhuri Dixit-Nene will do the voiceovers for Baloo, Kaa, Bagheera and Nisha, respectively.

Meanwhile, Jackie Shroff will be the main antagonist Shere Khan. Now, that’s quite a power-packed ensemble. Freida and Christian, along with Rohan Chand (who plays the titular character), will visit India this weekend. “They plan to hold a press conference and promote their film in India. The international agency has also planned a special party where the Hollywood team will interact with the Bollywood actors who have dubbed for the Hindi version.”
