After Chitrangda Singh’s mid-shoot sudden exit, the actor’s forthcoming movie doesn’t have a leading lady yet
Nawazuddin Siddiqui is shooting for Kushan Nandy’s Babumoshai Bandookbaaz on the outskirts of Lucknow. However, after Chitrangda Singh’s sudden exit in middle of an ongoing shooting schedule, the makers have not been able to find another leading lady.
There was buzz about Huma Qureshi being considered for the role. But Nawaz insists, “We’ve done whatever we could do together in Gangs Of Wasseypur and Badlapur. Now, it will look like an overkill if we come together again. My director Kushan Nandy and I are completely puzzled about the situation.”The actor was so frustrated with the situation, he even joked with his director, “I told my director, ‘Let’s get a boy to dress up as a woman and go ahead with the shooting’. I really don’t care who my co-star is as long as the shooting doesn’t get hampered.”
