Apparently, BKD is now the second highest opener for a Varun Dhawan film after ABCD 2, if Dilwale is not considered. Reportedly, the collections of BKD have beaten those of Jolly LLB 2 in most parts with Delhi and East Punjab witnessing shortfalls.

The film is supposed to have an extended opening weekend with Monday being the festival of Holi, which in turn should ensure the success of the film at the ticket windows. Since there are no big releases in the next few weeks, it may allow Badrinath Ki Dulhania to sustain well on the box office, depending upon the word of mouth.
