When Farhan Akhtar and Shraddha Kapoor decided to come up with a sequel to Rock On, the idea seemed very interesting. But the results haven't been the same. The film that released in theatres today has not found any audience at all.

The response was so terribly low that the film had only 50 people watching in most theatres across the main cities. Nationwide, the film opened to a box office occupancy of 5-10% which is disastrous.

The film, which is a musical failed to strike a chord with the audience and the promos hardly managed to garner a positive response as well. Apart from that, the music which is supposed to be the biggest highlight of a film like this was a major disappointment.

Along with all these points, the demonetization has also affected Rock On 2 in a huge way. People who are busy queuing up at ATM counters and banks to withdraw money don't want to spend it on movies and entertainment at the moment. With a shortage of notes in the country now, Rock On 2 needs to now get better numbers to capitalise.
