She says that she had handed over proof of his alleged links with bookies to an official of the ICC’s Anti-Corruption Unit.

Currently working as a televison host for a popular Pakistan news channel, Veena has taken a small break and stepped into the Big Boss den.

When asked about Asif’s wedding that took place on 30th September, she says, “Yes, I know. I pity him, as I loved him very much and did everything to make him a better person, but failed. I also know that a few officials from the International Cricket Council (ICC) and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) are rumoured to be  keeping an eye on me, but I am not afraid as I am not hiding anything. In fact, in future if I have any information I shall share with them.”

So when asked if the controversy was like a stepping stone towards Bollywood she says, “Bollywood is not my cup of tea, though I have a couple of scripts being offered to me. I want go back to my country and help my people. They need me.”

About nude pictures of a look-alike being circulated on the Internet she says, “It’s very silly as those pictures are not mine, my body is a million times better. The lady who is posing is just so ugly. I am any day beautiful, than that fake picture. It’s just not me.”

Talking about being a part of the reality show, she says, “It will be a good test for me, to see how tolerant I am, and also in last few months I’ve been through hell, so this is possibly going to give me some space. One more reason I agreed to do the show is that I want people to know the real Veena and not judge me on the controversy that happened.”
