RISHTE MEIN TOH... The grey hair, bizzre outfit and a rope to hang the villains, Amitabh Bachchan as Shahenshah is among Bachchan's most iconic characters and looks in the history of Indian cinema.

FUNKY GONE WRONG: Not all experiments go right. Boom was an example of this for Bachchan.

ROYAL LOVE: He played Badshah Khan who fell in love with a princess. He pulled off the bearded look so well that he was then asked to do it many times over.

HEAD OF THE FAMILY: He used his baritone to his advantage in Sooryavansham that saw him in a double as the Thakur Bhanupratap Singh. The role had him playing a patriarch and dress up in clothes worthy for one.

ETHNIC OUTFIT: The actor donned a fake beard and wore ethnic Rajasthani outfit. A brilliant performance.

THE PIED PIPER: A look that was inspired from that of the Pied Piper and Captain Jack Sparrow. He got more whistles for his maverick act than the entire leading cast.

POWER TALK: With a big teeka on his forehead, he stuck to a black kurta and lungi look through Sarkar. His only accessory was a chain made of rudraksha. He made for a gear politician here.

RETRO ROCK: The actor went retro with Bbuddha...Hoga Terra Baap. And yes, he packed a punch!

HAIR CARE: He rocked a pony tail when he wore one. This was Bachchan, who played a 64-year-old chef in love with a 34-year-old woman. Obviously, her father wasn't too happy with him.

THE CHARMER: He matched Leonardo DiCaprio's charm at the table in The Great Gatsby. He looked super suave yet again.

OH BOY! It took Bachchan around 4 to 5 hours to put on the prosthetic make-up and then two hours to remove it when he had to play Paa. The movie had him playing 11-year-old Auro who has a rare genetic condition known as progeria.

BEING BHASKOR: He played Bhaskor Banerjee here; father to Piku played by Deepika Padukone. Sporting a paunch, thick rimmed glasses and a mop of white hair, the rest as they say is history...

SHEAKESPEAREAN! Big B played Harish Mishra, the theatre artist who lived in a world surrounded by Shakespearean theatre and novels. Big B's look was strikingly different and even the grey hair made many go weak in the knees.
