Bipasha has always felt that self-defence is very necessary especially to young girls as crime against them is on the rise. The training will start with a week-long crash course initially, and will then turn it into a full-fledged one, over a month or more. The actress herself is a fitness junkie and is a trained kickboxer. Certified trainers will take classes at her academy.

Akshay Kumar had launched a free-of-cost women’s self-defence centre Mumbai three years ago, along with Yuva Sena chief Aaditya Thackeray.
