Director Manish Gupta, who is making a biopic on former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, is currently working on sorting out legal issues involved in the project. The Rahasya fame director is ready with the script for the biopic.

"We are ready with the script of our next- a political drama (on Indira Gandhi). But we are working on the legalities and approvals that are needed to be taken for this project. We are on a positive track. We are hopeful we will begin shoot this year," sources said.

The film will primarily be shot in Delhi, Mumbai and few other locations. The Emergency episode is most likely to be included the film.

"It is difficult to make a film like this. We are working on certain things which is causing the delay. We can't reveal what will be included or not in the biopic," the source added.

Meanwhile, actress Vidya Balan has been approached to play the role of Gandhi. "She (Vidya) has liked the idea. She has shown interest in the project," he added, said without divulging further details on casting in the film.
