'Baahubali-2' producer Prasad Deveneni met Cinematography Minister T Srinivas Yadav and made the request, according to a state government release.

The government is positive towards the request, the release quoted him as saying.

Saying that the state government would encourage films with historical themes, Yadav recalled that tax exemption was given to historical movies like 'Gautamiputra Satakarni' and 'Rudramadevi'.

'Baahubali-2', the second of the two-part franchise, is slated to hit screens on April 28.
