Baahubali had released this July and taken the global box office by a storm. With over Rs 600 crore in its kitty, the SS Rajamouli directorial soon turned out to be the third highest grossing Indian film ever, a little less than Dhoom 3 and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. The sequel too was supposed to hit screens in December next year. Now we hear there's a change in the plans.

A source tells us, "The film will now not release in December as planned. It will release in January 2017 instead." But the source could not divulge the reasons behind the move.

Previously, Baahubali 2's release dates have gone for major changes as well. While it was initially supposed to release mid 2016, soon Rajamouli announced that Baahubali-the Conclusion will only be out in winter 2016. There were also talks about the film clashing with Aamir Khan starrer Dangal. Now, all such possibilities can be ruled out.

The team had already completed half of the shoot before they released and the shooting for the remaining half of the second instalment has begun in full swing.
