Nimrat's epistolary romance The Lunchbox, co-starring actor Irrfan Khan, was in the race in non-English best film category at the 68th edition of the awards. It, however, lost to Polish-Danish drama movie Ida.

The 32-year-old actress, who turned heads in a pink long gown with batwing sleeves by Georges Hobeika, also presented an award.

She took to Twitter to share her happiness. "Don't recollect presenting... but apparently I did! That was some room with a view! At the unforgettable BAFTA do last night... So surreal to be there and present as well," she tweeted.
