Are Sajid Nadiadwala and Vishal Bharadwaj having second thoughts about Kangana for Rangoon?

Kangana Ranaut’s next, Rangoon with Shahid Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan to be directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, seems to have run into a bit of trouble.

Lately, names of other actresses have cropped up in connection with the film. So are producer Sajid Nadiadwala and Vishal having second thoughts about their leading lady?

Says an insider, “Kangana has told them she wanted to be billed as co-director of the film. This would be a first in Bollywood if the makers agree to her demand. Never before has the leading lady of a film wanted to share credit with the director. And that too, someone established and respected like Vishal.”

The source adds, “I don’t see Vishal agreeing to this. The makers are talking to her and trying to make her see sense.” Kangana earlier had a fallout with Ekta Kapoor over Agent X. She had demanded that she wanted her version of the final cut to be released. Usually the director’s cut makes it to the theatres. The actress and the producer parted ways over that.

In her latest release, Kangana has been billed as cinematographer. In Queen her name was included as the dialogue writer. Now this is one talented actress. An all-rounder.
