The month of February is going to be good for Amitabh Bachchan fans. Big B who has enthralled audiences worldwide will be given the Taj Tareef award by the Taj Enlighten Film Society this month. Given the gargantuan contribution of the stalwart to the medium called cinema, the society is also having a retrospective of the actor. The society is going to feature some landmark films from his career which ranges from Zanzeer, Deewar, Last Lear, Agneepath and the recent Paa. The films will be shown at Cinemax Versova and Metro Adlabs. At the last screening of Paa, he will be felicitated with Taj Tareef award for his acting and contribution to the world of cinema. Pranav Ashar, founder of the film society, says, “Amitabh Bachchan is one name who has given a new dimension to Indian cinema. He has defined a generation’s angst with his angry young man image. Along with his commercial successes, he managed to do films which were middle-of-the-road films from Hrishikesh Mukherjee like Chupke Chupke, Abhimaan and Mili. Even at this age, he is always challenging the actor in him.”
