American Nargis Fakhri goes 'desi'

For someone who stepped into Bollywood with a big budget debut, actress Nargis Fakhri still thinks she has a lot to explore in the city. The actress who has been living by herself for the past couple of months in Mumbai is now finally settling down. Nargis has grown up in New York and shifted to Mumbai when she got a break with Rockstar and since then she has been living here.

Though she hasn’t been seen in a movie after her debut film with actor Ranbir Kapoor, she is busy with her endorsement deals and other photo shoots. She has mostly been travelling abroad for her assignments and has hardly had the time to explore the city and India.

A source close to her says, “Nargis wants to experience the real India. She has asked her friends in India to take her out and experience the real world, the life of the common man. She has a list of places that she has drawn up. She has always been fascinated with the local trains in Mumbai and wants to hop on to one for a ride to town soon. She has also heard a lot about Dhobi Ghat and wants to visit the place as well. Since she is also very fond of food, all her friends in Mumbai have told her a lot about places she can eat at and Mohammed Ali road tops the list of places she wants to visit.”  Nargis wants to make the most of her time in Mumbai and is already planning to visit each part of the city, every time she gets a day off.
