"American Crime Story: Katrina", which was scheduled to air next year, has been stalled, said the show's director Anthony Hemingway.
Hemingway said the crew was clueless about the shoot, despite already having actors, including Annette Bening, Dennis Quaid and Matthew Broderick signed up for the show, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
"That just kind of got stalled. We're all standing by waiting to find out what's happening," said Hemingway.
"Nothing has really been done. We haven't started prep on it at all," he added.
It's been almost two years since FX first announced "Katrina" as the second season of "American Crime Story".
At the Television Critics Association's summer press tour, Hemingway had said, "It's all up to Ryan Murphy (showrunner)."
