The Great Indian Laughter Challenge is all set to return  to TV after a gap of eight years. What's more the show will also mark the return of Akshay Kumar to the small-screen.

The superstar, who last hosted Dare 2 Dance will be the judge of the laughter show, reveal sources. This is the first time, the Khiladi, who has several hit comedy films to his credit starting with Hera Pheri to the Housefull series, will be associated with a comedy show on TV. In the past he has hosted the action adventure show Khatron Ke Khiladi and later the dance-based action show Dare 2 Dance.

Given that Akshay is known for his comedies, the makers are planning to address him as the 'Boss of Comedy', "He will be the main judge and there will be three mentors. The makers are planning to rope in a glamorous female host for the show. The earlier seasons were hosted by Perizaad Kolah Marshall with Shonali Nagrani also anchoring it once. This time it is likely to be hosted by Elli AvrRam," says the source.
