Akshay Kumar seeks paternity leave!

Actor and soon-to-be-dad-again, Akshay Kumar was keen to complete the shoot of his film well on time to be home for wife Twinkle's delivery which could be anytime now. The actor who was in Muscat shooting for the sequel of Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai, was running on a tight schedule, but he has made sure to wrap up the schedule there and be back home around Twinkle's due date which is said to be sometime around the third week of September.

And according to an insider, Akshay who now plunges head on for the promotions of his upcoming production Oh My God has already made sure that despite his packed schedule, he gets to take five days off when Twinkle gives birth to their second child.

Says the source, “Akshay is extremely professional, but has always maintained that family is priority. So he’s been trying to make it work in such a way that there’s no loss for the producers by finishing their shoots well on time. He has also planned his schedules in such a way that he gets to be in town in the second half of September.” The source adds that from the dates allotted for the promotions of Oh My God, he has already told the production team that he will be taking five days off to be with his wife around the time of her delivery. “This had made it easier to line up his dates and time accordingly, as a five-day buffer has now been kept in mind,” reveals an insider at the time of going to press.

Akshay himself admitted to being very excited about becoming a dad for the second time. “I’m going to try and be there as much as possible for Tina and the baby. I am planning to take a few days off too, but for now I’m just praying that whether a girl or boy, the baby be healthy,” he said.
