When news of Shilpa Shetty's father's death started doing the rounds , Bollywood celebrities stood beside the family. Shilpa's dad Surendra Shetty passed away on Tuesday, following a cardiac arrest. Most of her industry friends visited the Shettys to offer their condolences.
Akshay Kumar too was one of them. Akshay, who lives two lanes away from Shilpa's house dropped in at Shetty's for the funeral. Not only that, Akshay could be seen greeting Shilpa and giving her a shoulder to cry on.
For those who don't remember, Akshay and Shilpa too shared a past. The two were in love before they had an ugly break-up. Things weren't fine between the two till they patched up on the sets of Bigg Boss 2 during the grand finale. They have been cordial ever since.
