Noted devotional singer and civil engineer Akriti Mehra has been empanelled by Indian Council For Cultural Relations (ICCR) as reference artist.

"The concern expert sub-committee of the Council has selected you for empanelment in the ICCR's Reference Panel of Artists in the devotional (solo) category," said a letter issued by ICCR's Director General Amarendra Khatua conveying the decision to Akriti.

Though Akriti's inclusion in the panel is for reference purpose, ICCR always endeavours to sponsor as many artists as possible within the parameters of the Council's overseas activities.

The singer has so far released three devotional video albums including one by T-series and staged more than 300 shows.
