If you are a 90s kid, then along with shows like Sarabhai vs Sarabhai and Hum Paanch that tickled your funny bones, you must have been fond of another TV soap opera called Remix. A youth based teen show, Remix had made Karan Wahi a household name.

Karan who subsequently decided not to do too much of television anymore, has been seen as a part of several TV reality shows and comedy series as the anchor or a stand-up artist. Now, he is gearing up to be part of Khatron Ke Khiladi 8, albeit as a contestant.

But when we met him, we couldn't stop asking him about Remix and a possible comeback for the much famous TV show of that time. Karan tells us, "Sarabhai vs Sarabhai is coming back because it had a very big reach, audience wise. Today, Remix will be accepted by the audience who saw Remix and maybe the youth today. But the youth today may also not accept Remix today. I'll tell you why. When Remix came, it spoke the youth language. Today, what the youth speaks might not be the same to what Remix showed then. When the makers showed Yuvraj Dev drinking, it became a mayhem. Today, you think a college kid doesn't drink. People are snorting in today's times, so alcohol for them will be like, 'How stupid?'"

But he does admit that he and the makers Goldie Behl and Srishti Behl have been in talks for a possible comeback. Karan says, "Me and Goldie bhaiya and Srishti di - we actually sat down and discussed - let's get Remix 10 years down the line. But it takes a lot of time, because it's a South American concept so you cannot fiddle around with it too much. Star acquires the rights to the show so you have to get Star involved in it. Then maybe, today the web or TV doesn't accept the kind of content we made back then. 10 years down the line, things we are doing right now might become stale too.

Is the chances of failure worrying him? He nods negative, "My job as an actor is to just work. Whether it's a hit or flop, it is not in my hands. Why worry about that?"

In the end, there seems to be some silver lining. Why? Karan tells us that he too wants to relive Remix again, if given a chance. He asserts, "I hope it comes back and it has a lot of nostalgic value for me and for all the boys and girls who are a little elder or a little younger to me because they have grown up watching Remix. I would love to do it. Will they accept it today? I don't know. Maybe for the nostalgic value, you would. But will you get the same charm. People are going berserk about Sarabhai today. I hope it doesn't well and has good content, no matter who makes it or who stars in it. Good content should win at the end."
