He did debut in Amitabh Bachchan Corporation Limited's (ABCL) Tere Mere Sapne (1996), but it was Rajkumar Hirani's Munnabhai MBBS (2003) that gave Arshad Warsi's career a second lease of life.

But if there is one thing he rues, it's that he never got to work with Big B. Well, they did. On a film called Zamaanat, but it was never released. Arshad told a newspaper, "So, even though we have been working on a project for so long, we still don’t have a film together.”

But Arshad is keen to work with Bachchan Sr, and says he will cast him in his movie when he turns director. “I would like to direct, but I need the right producer to back me. The day I get that, I will start working on my film. Obviously, I won’t act in it, but I want to cast some of the most amazing actors we have in the industry in it,” he said.

On his relationship with his directors — likeRajkumar Hirani or Abhishek Chaubey — he had this to say, “My directors can direct on the phone, and I can do the job. I don’t do readings or attend workshops. I understand my directors well. I can read their mind. All I need is clarity about the character.”
