Aadesh Shrivastava is no more. A day after his birthday and his last film as a music composer Welcome Back hit screens, Aadesh breathed his last at Kokilaben Hospital where he was admitted for the past one and half months.

A passionate singer and a talented music composer, Aadesh is known to have composed music for films like Chalte Chalte, Baghban and others and has also been one of the key judges on the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa stage.

The composer was suffering from cancer and had been diagnosed with the disease for the first time in 2010. Chemotherapy helped him but five years later, his cancer relapsed for the third time, leaving him terminally ill. The composer was admitted to the hospital about 40 days back and had not been responding to medicines and injections.

His wife too told media that the doctors had given up on him. Anubhav Sinha, a dear friend of Shrivastava was heartbroken with the news of Aadesh’s demise.

After his condition deteriorated, Aadesh lost his battle with cancer post midnight on September 5. The composer is survived by his wife and two kids.
