As per a report on TOI, a senior Police officer informed that the investigators have some "clinching evidence: against Kulkarni and Goswami, who are reportedly absconding from the day their names became known in the racket. Apparently, they want to file a charge sheet based on it.

The said report further adds, "Special public prosecutor Shishir Hiray, appearing for the prosecution, in a marathon submission to the special court sought the warrant, and informed the court that they have ample evidence against the duo and their involvement in the drug racket as a prime accused. Hiray pointed out that based on the interrogation of arrested accused, Kulkarni and Goswami are main players in the case and they had set up a well-oiled drug cartel, right from procuring raw material of ephedrine from India and even planned transportation and manufacture of methamphetamine in Kenya.”

As per an IANS report, Kulkarni had written to the Minister of External Affairs, Sushma Swaraj and Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju and demanded a probe against the Maharashtra Police to bring to light the reasons because of which her name was apparently dragged in the drugs case.
