Says a source, “A leading men’s personal grooming brand has suspended its contract with Hardik after the controversial episode. Its loss has cost the all-rounder approximately Rs 2 crore.”

The same source adds, “His brand value has taken a huge hit with most of the other companies, who were queuing up to sign him up, disappearing in quick succession. He is currently the face for six other brands and many of them are contemplating similar action.”

Rahul’s story is no different. “He had signed a three-year contract with a sports brand and the company is already considering a replacement for him,” claimed a source.

Meanwhile, the channel has taken down  the episode from all platforms and the latest episode of KWK (featuring Shahid Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter) had a disclaimer, apologising for the cricketers’ comments.
