After Salman Khan's Kick set the box office on fire and Shah Rukh Khan's Happy New Year zoomed into the Rs 200 crore club, it is time for the next release of the Khan who has been the founder member of the 100 and 200 crore clubs in India.

But will Aamir be the founder member of the 300 core club with PK as well? He might! Here's 5 reasons why:

It's a Rajkumar Hirani film:

That too after, five long years! He's been a maverick director — one who has cent percent track record in Bollywood, one that most filmmakers cannot be proud of. And when Raju makes films, he has a certain amount of those quirky elements which connect with the audiences. Certainly a class apart, Raju's films and sensibilities bridge the gap between the masses and the classes, so to say. And now that he direct PK after five years, it is proof enough that Raju is a director with a difference and that he is a brand by himself, courtesy his films! No wonder, PK is touted as a Rajkumar hirani film more than being called another Aamir Khan film!

Aamir's only release in 2014:

He has always been picky and history has it that when Aamir decides to do a film, he brings a certain amount of uniqueness  to the story line. Staying away from the usual masala potboilers and the rom-coms, he is someone who does things differently. And that clicks well with the audiences too. Aamir has a huge fan following and more than that, his effortless acting skills add on to his cinematic genius.

The fresh pairing:

She debuted with Shah Rukh Khan and is now paired opposite Mr Perfectionist in another strange yet sweet social odyssey of sorts. Bringing to the table a mix and match of both their elements — Aamir and Anushka's pairing comes across as a refreshing one. While Anushka's Jagat Janani is bubbly and vivacious, Aamir's PK is naive and childish. And given that her chemistry with SRK brought her numerous accolades (add to that, a slew of films), her on-screen camaraderie with Aamir will only take her forward.

The immense buzz and curiosity:

"This is not a done away story", claimed Rajkumar Hirani. "It's been 100 years of cinema and there's hardly any story left which has not been tried and tested in Bollywood. it is difficult to find a film which is so new and unique. PK is one such film", he claims. There's an immense amount of curiosity and intrigue built around the film, the plot and the characters, something that the team had planned intentionally and it clicked. While many were taken aback and even surprised at Aamir's bold move (as seen in the first nude poster of PK), most want to see what more Aamir can do to shock the audiences!

Aamir's favourite holiday release:

Like Salman has his favourite festival Eid and Shah Rukh has Diwali booked for most of their films, Christmas is Aamir's favourite time to hit the screens. Be it Ghajini, 3 Idiots or Dhoom 3, Aamir's biggest box office successes have coem during Christmas. Last year, Dhoom 3 was a December end release and it went on to do great business at the box office. With PK releasing around the same time, a day earlier than D3's release date, will history repeat itself? It just might!
