With crime thriller drama Sacred Games on Netflix, Saif Ali Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui foroyed into a completely different space. 

The web series which has turned out to be the game changer on digital platform, is based on the novel with the same by Vikram Chandra.

Sacred Games which happens to be the first original series on Netflix in India, became an instant hit with its terrific storyline, amazing visuals and  iconic characters played ace actors Saif Ali Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui among many others.

The successful show is all set to come up with its season 2, and we can't wait to watch it! 

Not just Sacred Games, but actor Panjaj Tripathi's mind-blowing performance in Mirzapur, has left an indelible mark on the minds of the audience. The power packed performance by the actor will always be remembered. Pankaj Tripathi as 'Kaleen Bhaiyya', a cool and calm dreaded gangster, is too good

Ali Fazal was the surprise element this year with his video on demand series Mirzapur. In the show, Ali essayed the role of a dreaded gangster 'Guddu Pandit', who is mean and loves killing people at a drop of hat.

To play his part Ali gained more than 10 kgs to look like a gigantic beast. It is also the first time that the actor played a negative character onscreen, and we must say, he nailed it! 

Dhruv Sehgal and Mithila Palkar are charmers and we can't deny it one bit. The slice of life show, had won the hearts of the audience with its first season, and went on to do the same with its second season as well- Little Things season 2.

After the first season was released on YouTube, the second season of the show was picked up by global giant Netflix.

Little Things season 2 is a sweet love story with a lot of complications between the main lead actors Mithila and Dhruv, who are amazing at what they do! 

The list of actors who dominated the digital world would not be complete without the name of the queen of digital series, shorts films and videos on demand, Radhika Apte.

The year 2018 saw some of the best works of Radhika, both on the silver screen and on the digital platform.

The horror series Ghoul on Netflix starring Radhika Apte as the protagonist along with Manav Kaul is one of the best horror series happened to the Indian audience. It ticks all the boxes for a great horror-thriller feature. Radhika delivers one of her strongest performances as the military personnel at par. And of course, a special mention for her performance as a cop in Sacred Games surely makes her the queen of the digital world

Talented actor R Madhavan's first outing with a video on demand series Breathe on Amazon Prime left the audience spellbound and intrigued.

The show which also stars Amit Sadh as one of the protagonists, saw Maddy taking away the limelight.

In the show, Madhavan essayed the role of a father whose son needs an urgent lung transfer or he will die. The story weaves around Madhavan trying to get the lung transfer at the earliest by murdering donors.

Breathe is a gritty psychological drama with brilliant performances by the lead actors

Thriller, gang war, the mystery was the flavour of the digital world this year.

Many web shows explored the above mentioned category.

One such series, Smoke, which released on Eros Now, with a brilliant cast, including actors Kalki Koechlin, Gulshan Devaiah, Jim Sarbh, Amit Sial, Mandira Bedi and Tom Alter among others is worth watching.

While all the actors performed brilliantly, it was Gulshan's character as JJ a hitman from Bihar that stood out. He as a gruesome killer added a dash of humour to his character, bringing some much-needed happiness to the show
