Venkatesh Daggubati is currently in news for his upcoming movie Venky Mama alongside nephew Naga Chaitanya and actress Raashi Khanna
There is no doubt that the South Indian film industry is growing at a fast rate, especially after it has come in the eyeballs of the Hindi cinema viewing audience. Veteran actors, much like the Khans from B-Town, seem to hike the prices with each of their successful films.
The latest name added to the list is Venkatesh Daggubati. The actor, uncle of Telugu actor Naga Chaitanya, has, according to a reliable source as quoted by Times of India, hiked his fee from Rs. 5 crore to Rs. 10 crore. "When he was working on F2-Fun and Frustration, he billed the makers for Rs 5 crore," stated the source.
Venkatesh next appears in Venky Mama along with Naga Chaitanya and actress Raashi Khanna. The release date of the movie was announced by Rana Daggubati recently. Venky Mama will release on December 13. Meanwhile, Venkatesh will also be seen in the remake of F2 - Fun and Frustration alongside Varun Tej.

Venkatesh was among one of the names whose house was raided by the IT on November 21, 2019. Along with Venkatesh, the IT unearthed Rs. 50 lakh total from Nani, producer Daggubati Suresh, and three production houses, reported Times of India.

Talking about his father's dream, Venkatesh mentioned, "I have always wanted to work with my nephews — Rana and Chaitanya — and it was father's dream too. So, Venky Mama is a dream come true. My father would have celebrated and cherished this film had he been alive today. This film is dedicated to him."

Suresh Productions (Rana Daggubati) in association with People's Media Factory, is producing the film. Apart from Venkatesh, Raashi and Naga, Venky Mama also features Paayal Rajput, Prakash Raj, Parag Tyagi, Sampath Raj, Rao Ramesh, Posani Krishna Murali, Brahmaji and Srinivasa Reddy in pivotal roles. Rana recently interviewed the lead cast of the film as part of the movie's promotions.
