Ranu Mondal turned a model at the fashion show and was seen walking on the song 'Jalwa' from Madhur Bhandarkar's movie Fashion. The original song featured Kangana Ranaut and Priyanka Chopra.
Himesh Reshammiya, who had given a grand launch to Ranu Mondal, also made her sing on Aashiqui Mein Teri version 2.0.

Ranu Mondal was discovered as a beggar from Ranaghat railway station. She went viral after singing 'Ek Pyaar Ka Nagma Hai' in a beautiful voice. Thereafter, Himesh Reshammiya gave Ranu her big Bollywood break in his movie Happy Hardy Aur Heer through the song 'Teri Meri Kahani'.
