Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif and other Bollywood beauties who tried ruling South industry but the crown didn't fit

Bipasha Basu made her Telugu debut in Takkari Donga alongside Mahesh Babu. Despite her popularity in Bollywood, the film failed to make a significant impact at the box office, and she did not pursue further roles in the South Indian film industry.

Twinkle Khanna's sole foray into Telugu cinema was with Seenu, starring opposite Venkatesh. The film did not succeed commercially, and Khanna did not continue her career in the South Indian film industry.

Katrina Kaif's debut in Telugu cinema was with Malliswari, where she played the lead role. Despite being the highest-paid South Indian actress at the time, the film did not achieve significant success, and Kaif did not pursue further roles in the South Indian film industry. 

Priyanka Chopra made her acting debut with the Tamil film Thamizhan, starring opposite Vijay. While the film had a decent run, Chopra didn’t pursue a career in South Indian cinema afterward. She shifted focus entirely to Bollywood, where she rose to stardom, leaving Thamizhan as her only South film.

Amrita Rao's role in Athidhi alongside Mahesh Babu was well-received, but she did not continue her career in Telugu cinema. Rao cited dissatisfaction with the roles offered to women in the industry as a reason for not pursuing further opportunities.
