In Pictures | SAG Awards 2017: Subtle silhouettes and sharp cuts rule the red carpet

Screen Actors Guild Awards honoured the best of Hollywood and English television on Sunday night. 'La La Land' continued their winning streak, but 'Fences,' 'Hidden Figures,' and 'Stranger Things' ruled the evening. On the red carpet, though, subtle silhouettes of princess gowns and sharp columns grabbed the attention. The team behind Captain Fantastic had something special to give too. Let's take a look at the best ensembles of the evening.

Game of Thrones may not have won big at the SAG Awards, but Sophie Turner aka Sansa Stark won hearts on the red carpet in a stunning Louis Vitton dress. Stranger Things co-stars Millie Bobby Brown and Natalia Dyer toed the line in Giorgio Armani and Miu Miu gowns, respectively.

Sofia Vergara walked the red carpet looking like a perfect doll in a Zuhair Murad creation with husband Joe Manganiello in arms. Yara Shahidi played with colours and looked cheerful as ever in a Naeem Khan creation. Evan Rachel Wood stayed loyal to her pantsuit style and her brand, Altuzarra. Claire Foy went traditional in a fairy-like Valentino gown.

Rami Malek chose a grey Dior suit with check texture, Michiel Huisman preferred velvet glam for the red carpet, while James Marsden picked Valentino.

Viola Davis stepped out in a strapless Vivienne Westwood gown paired with stunning jewels and a dazzling smile. Mahershala Ali, who took the Best Supporting Actor trophy home, brought his fashion A-game in Ermenegildo Zegna suit. Meryl Streep was all grace in a Valentino gown.

Thandie Newton of Westworld got her hands on Schiaparelli's latest collection and she was a vision in sparkling ankle length gown! Emily Blunt chose a delicate Roberto Cavalli column dress while Taraji P Henson preferred Reem Acra's sheer number.
