Omung Kumar who's designed the house along with wife Vanita tells us that he's maintained a 'more etheral look' for Bigg Boss this year.

"The design of the Bigg Boss house has been themed around a modern Indian palace. There is an element of Indian mystique to the décor with a lot of lanterns and earthy tones to bring a homely appeal to the set. And, the house is more colorful and vibrant this time with lots of paintings," he tells us. 

There is an interesting mix of colours that Omung has used this time round. It's vibrant and edgy at the same time. While the area surrounding the garden area has a green background with pink flowery details, there's a dash of lively colours that give out an energetic vibe.

Among the other things that caught our attention was the dilapidated and dirty jail area that has been installed in the garden area.

Omung says, "The most prominent addition to the Bigg Boss house, however, is the jail. Painted to depict a filthy appearance, the jail will be a dungeon of sorts for contestants who break the rules. There is a special Indian-style bathroom installed for the qaidis, and an earthen pot along with aluminium plates and mugs to make the entire experience more real." Much to our surprise, two of our fellow journalists who were taken inside were given a taste of the jail space. Thank God, I wasn't one of them!

The Appy Fizz zone looks like a good place for the lazy evenings.

Confession room this year can be defined in one word. Majestic.

While the entire idea to make the house look like an Indian palace straight out of the Mughal Era with the shahi and nawaabi elements intact, the confession room too has been designed around the same concept. This time, more than a chair, it's a throne or the singhasan. Add to that some pretty Mughal inspired lanterns in the backdrop and you have a winner. 

Who wouldn't want to cook here all day long?

This is where all the chilling and the arguments and the fights are going to happen.

Omung Kumar was not fooling around when he said he wanted to make the house more palatial. 

This is possibly the biggest highlight of the house this year. This hasn't happened ever in the history of Bigg Boss. The BB10 house has a jacuzzi, placed inside the bathroom.

"We’re also adding a touch of luxury to the Bigg Boss house with the introduction of a jacuzzi corner in the bathroom. The design elements have been incorporated to create a balanced experience for both celebrity and common man contestants," Omung explains the idea behind putting a jacuzzi inside the house this year

Usually, the entrance of the house leads to the living room. But this time, that won't be the same anymore.

Omung confirms, "There are many conspicuous changes in the Bigg Boss house. The orientation of the living room and the bedroom have been interchanged." So unlike other seasons, the entrance will lead you to the bedroom while the living room is in the space where the bedroom used to be. 

There will be 8 commoners entering the house along with 6 celebrities. While that calls for a divide and rule in the house already, Omung makes an interesting revelation.

The orientation of beds too are completely different this time. "There is a special seven-sleeper bed space created for select contestants," tells Omung. This means that 7 contestants will have to sleep together in one huge bed while the other 7 will get an individual bed of their own. Bohut nainsaafi hai, ehh?
