From Kriti Sanon, Anuskha Sharma to Priyanka Chopra: Female Bollywood actors who have turned producers

Kriti Sanon made a bold move into production by launching her own banner, Blue Butterfly Films. Her debut project, Do Patti, is a mystery thriller featuring herself alongside Kajol.

A global icon, Priyanka Chopra has made a remarkable move through her banner, Purple Pebble Pictures. She has produced National Award-winning Marathi film Ventilator, as well as Pahuna, Firebrand, and Paan. 

Kangana Ranaut  stepped into the world of production through Manikarnika Films and also produced Tiku Weds Sheru, a romantic comedy featuring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Avneet Kaur. 

Deepika Padukone made her production debut with Chhapaak, portraying an acid attack survivor. Under her production banner, she also co-produced 83, and according to reports, she is now working on the Hindi remake of The Intern with Amitabh Bachchan.

Anushka Sharma was among the first of her generation to launch a production house, Clean Slate Filmz. Her debut production, NH10, was followed by Phillauri and Pari. 

Alia Bhatt stepped into production with Darlings, co-produced with Red Chillies Entertainment. The dark comedy saw her take on a bold, unconventional role alongside Vijay Varma and Shefali Shah.

Taapsee Pannu is known for her choice of strong and socially relevant roles and started her own production house, Outsiders Films, in 2021. Her debut film was Blurr, a horror-thriller released in December 2022.
