Nusrat Jahan was seen at her neighbourhood market, spreading awareness about social distancing in the times of coronavirus

Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Nusrat Jahan was snapped shopping for vegetables in Kolkata's Chetla Market in Ward No. 82.

Nusrat also urged the people to practice social distancing in the market areas. She asked them to stand in the marked circles and maintain one metre of distance.

Inquiring about the availability of household products, Nusrata also requested the vendors to sell vegetables at fair prices.

Not just vegetable vendors, Nusrat had also distributed masks among the flower vendors and other service providers. Sharing the images on Instagram nearly a week back, she had written, "Let us take necessary precautions ourselves & help the ones in need. The Vegetable Vendors and other service providers who help keep our households running must also be made aware about preventive measures. Request you all to extend help to the best of your ability to the ones in need. We are in this together. Stay safe & take care."

The Bengali actress-turned-politician had urged people to follow home quarantine of 21-day lockdown. She had posted videos of her cooking at home and recently posted an image which read, "A little bit of red... can take away the blues... stay sane.. wear ur smile.... be productive... but stay at home... #fightagainstcoronavirus #homequarantine"
