Akshay Kumar, Alia Bhatt, Aamir Khan: Celebrities who tested COVID-19 positive in 2021

On April 4, 2021, Akshay Kumar took to his social media pages and shared that he has been tested positive for coronavirus. The actor wrote, "I wish to inform everyone that, earlier this morning, I have tested positive for COVID-19. Following all the protocols, I have immediately isolated myself. I'm under home quarantine and have sought necessary medical care. I would sincerely request all those that have come in contact with me to get themselves tested and take care. Back in action very soon!"

Aamir quit social media recently, hence his spokesperson confirmed that he had tested positive for the coronavirus on March 24. The 56-year-old actor is not experiencing extreme symptoms and is reportedly doing fine. He has further asked everyone who came in contact with him to get tested.

Actor Alia Bhatt, on Friday, confirmed that she has tested positive for COVID-19 and is under home quarantine. Alia took to her Instagram stories and posted a long note, informing her fans that she is currently following all the safety protocols listed by her doctors. In her note, Alia wrote, "I have tested positive for COVID-19. I have immediately isolated myself and will be under home quarantine. I am following all safety protocols under the advice of my doctors. Grateful for all your love and support. Please stay safe and take care."

Veteran music composer Bappi Lahiri has been admitted to Mumbai's Breach Candy Hospital after testing positive for COVID-19, the singer's spokesperson confirmed. On behalf of Bappi Lahiri, the spokesperson shared, "Despite utmost precautions, unfortunately, Mr Bappi Lahiri has tested positive for COVID-19. He is under very good and expert care at the Breach Candy Hospital. Bappi dada's family requests all those who came in contact with him in the recent past to get themselves tested as a precautionary measure."

Fatima Sana Shaikh recently tested positive for COVID-19. The 'Dangal' actress, updating her fans on Friday, said that she has also lost her sense of taste and smell. Fatima shared her health update on social media. Taking to her Instagram, she wrote, "Covid sucks. Lost smell and taste.. and a horrible body ache." 

On March 22, Kartik Aaryan, just a few days after walking the ramp for Manish Malhotra along with Kiara Advani, announced that he has tested positive for COVID-19. The actor shared a plus sign on his social media account and wrote, "Positive ho gaya. Dua karo (sic)."

On March 26, Paresh Rawal informed his fans through a tweet that he had tested positive for COVID-19. The Bollywood actor had been vaccinated recently and despite that, he has been infected. He further requested everyone who came in contact with him for the past 10 days to get themselves tested.

Ranbir Kapoor's mother Neetu Kapoor confirmed the news through her social media handle on March 9 and informed her followers that Ranbir has tested positive for coronavirus and is on medication. The actor, however, had a speedy recovery from the infection and tested negative on March 26, as confirmed by his uncle Randhir Kapoor.

After Neetu Kapoor confirmed that actor Ranbir Kapoor has tested positive for the novel coronavirus, it came to light that noted director Sanjay Leela Bhansali also reportedly tested positive for COVID-19 and has quarantined himself. 

Satish had recently tested positive for coronavirus and he informed fans about it with a tweet. "Attention please!! I have been tested Covid positive. I would request everyone to get tested, who came in contact with me in the last few days. I am home quarantined. Your love, best wishes & blessings will help. Thanks," he had written. Satish has confirmed he is back home now and recovering.

Aditya Narayan and his wife Shweta Agarwal are tested COVID-19 positive. The singer and Indian Idol 12 host wrote on his Instagram page, "Hello all! Unfortunately, my wife @shwetaagarwaljha & I have tested positive for Covid-19 & are in quarantine. Please stay safe, continue to follow protocol & do keep us in your prayers. This too shall pass."

The leading actor of Anupamaa, Rupali Ganguly is the latest television actor to get tested for coronavirus. She shared a long note on her Instagram page with a caption stating, "MA Corona Devi!
