Bhagavanth Kesari, the 2023 Indian Telugu-language action drama, stars Nandamuri Balakrishna in the titular role, alongside Kajal Aggarwal, Sreeleela, and Arjun Rampal.  The superstar plays an ex-prisoner who becomes the guardian of Vijji, the daughter of his friend CI Srikanth, after his death. Written and directed by Anil Ravipudi,  the film received mixed to positive reviews from critics, with praise for Balakrishna's performance and the action sequences.

Nandamuri Balakrishna starred in the 2023 action drama film Veera Simha Reddy, directed by Gopichand Malineni. Balakrishna plays a dual role as Veera Simha Reddy and Jai Simha Reddy. The movie also features Shruti Haasan, Honey Rose, and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar in key roles.
