Are you doing Sooraj Barjatya’s next with Salman Khan?
As far as I am concerned these are all speculations. There are talks but I will right now consider them as rumours.
However, I am doing a film with Varun (Dhawan) Main Tera Hero directed by David Dhawan and Happy Endings with Saif directed by Krishna DK. They have different visions for cinema. I want something new and I want something nice.
My expectations with myself are high. Careerwise, I am in a happy space right now.
After a serious role in Barfi, you have done a comic in Phata Poster...
It was pretty crazy. It was like an adventure almost. I wanted to do something commercial and working with Raj ji (Rajkumar Santoshi) was unbelievable. He packed in so many different aspects to my character of Kaajal. She is completely opposite of me in Barfi. She is jumpy, hyper, and she wants to fight crime all by herself.. I loved working with Raj ji.
And Shahid?
It was great working with him. He is an amazing dancer, and his comic timing is very good.
How was it different from working with Ranbir?
Definitely, very different. I have a soft corner for Ranbir as he is my first hero. He was a wonderful co-star. He was unbelievably nice.
He made me so comfortable as a newcomer. He himself is a fabulous actor and that helped me perform well. Shahid is very laid back and very focused on his work. His energy is contagious on sets. The chemistry between us is really great.
