What are your plans for your birthday this year?

I’m going out of town. I will be spending the day with my family. Mira and Misha will be there with me. (Smiles)

Do you usually celebrate your birthdays?

Yes, of course. I love celebrating birthdays. It’s fun. At different times in life, I have celebrated it in different ways. But there’s always a cake and a lot of screaming, shouting and dancing around!

With Misha around, this will be your first birthday as a father...

Yes, but at least this year, I will still get to cut my birthday cake myself!

The best birthday gift you’ve received?

Actually, there are many... it’s difficult to choose one. I like personalised gifts more... that’s when people think of something attached or connected to you rather than just a piece of clothing or something.

One particular that’s particularly unforgettable?

It wasn’t weird, actually. But I was a teenager and I was broke. So I was sitting at home, watching TV. Then I remember a couple of my friends came and took me out. They basically celebrated with me and spent money on me. It wasn’t weird but it was my weirdest birthday till the time my friends came because I had no money to go out and enjoy. That’s something I will remember.

Apart from family, on your birthday who would you like to be surrounded by?

People who I truly share a bond with. That’s most important.

One thing you want to do before you turning 37?

I want to give a blockbuster hit!
