West Bengal Board Result 2021: Important update about evaluation criteria for Class 10, 12 announced

West Bengal Board of Secondary Education and Higher Secondary Education has announced the evaluation format of class 10 and 12 today (June 18). The state government had, on June 7, cancelled both exams this year because of the prevailing Covid-19 situation. The committee was formed to recommend whether state board exams for secondary and higher secondary classes should be conducted or not. 

 

West Bengal evaluation format for Class 10 and Class 12:

The evaluation format for class 10 students will be -- 50 per cent marks of Class 9 along with 50 per cent of Class 10 internal assessment marks. Whereas, for class 12 students 40% (Best of 4 subjects in Class 10) and 60% (Class 11 theory results) along with Class 12 project and practicals marks will be added.

 

The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) conducts the Madhyamik examinations (class 10) while the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) conducts the Uchha Madhyamik examinations (class 12).

 

West Bengal Board Result 2021:  

While talking to the media on Thursday, CM Mamta Banerjee said that this year the results of class 10 and 12 will be declared in July. She said that the process of evaluation criteria of the result will be announced on Friday.

Around 1.2 million students registered for Class 10 board exams and around 1 million students were scheduled to take the Class 12 board exams 2021.

 

CBSE Result 2021 Evaluation Criteria: 

The Supreme Court has approved the Central Board of Secondary Education's (CBSE) and ICSE's formula to calculate the final marks of Class 12 students whose Board exams were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
