Uttar Pradesh govt to provide free classes for UPSC and other competitive exams, registration closes soon - Details here

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath earlier this year had announced free coaching for the students preparing for several competitive examinations and the registration for different batches for the same had started in April. The free coaching facility is provided under the 'Mukhyamantri Abhyuday Yojana', which was announced by CM Adityanatha on Uttar Pradesh's establishment day on January 24, 2021. 

Those who wish to enroll themselves for the offline and online preparatory classes can apply for the same till October 20. 

Announcing the scheme, the BJP leader said that children from rural areas and families with low income are not able to qualify for competitive examinations such as Civil Services, JEE, NEET, NDA, CDS, etc, despite being talented and hardworking due to lack of resources in raining infrastructure in the private sector. 

What the Mukhyamantri Abhyuday Yojana will provide?

- An e-learning platform where all digital content related to various competitive exams will be available

- Free guidance and teaching by several officers of IAS, IPS, Indian Forest Service and PCS cadres
- Virtual classes, which will be related to state-level guidance.

Exams trained under the scheme:

- Main examinations and interviews of UPSC, UPPSC;  Examinations conducted by PSC, UPPSC/Subordinate Service Selection Commission and other such recruitment boards and institutions, etc; JEE (Mains) and NEET; NDA, CDS, other Military Services, recruitment of Paramilitary/Central Police Force; and PO/SSC/BEd/TET and other competitive examinations, etc

NEET online will be conducted on October 22 while JEE on October 21. The exam for NDA/CDS will be done on October 25 while that for UPSC/UPPSC on October 26. 

All tests will be held between 2 pm and 3:30 pm.

The results of entrance test will be published tentatively by October 29 while the classes are most likely to start from November 15.
