Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) is likely to make a final decision today on exam dates of UP Board 2021 class 10 and class 12. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, most of the board examinations across the country have been cancelled and postponed. Similarly, UPMSP had postponed the UP board class 10 and 12 exams. But now the students are demanding for cancellation of the UP Board 2021 examinations.

According to media reports, UPMSP is going to hold a meeting today and will take a final decision on the upcoming UP Board 2021 exam.

Earlier, UPMSP Secretary Divyakant Shukla issued a notice to the principals of all the schools of the state after high-level meetings, instructing them to hold half-yearly examinations of all the students of the UP Board class 10 by May 18 which was later extended to May 24.

UPMSP on Monday (May 18) responded to a fake schedule of UP Board Class 10 and 12 examinations doing the rounds on social media and issued a clarification that it has not announced any examination schedule yet and requested students to ignore the viral message.

According to the message, the UP Board Class 10 and 12 examinations were to be held between June 5 and 25.

UPMSP Secretary Divya Kant Shukla issued a clarification saying that "It is informed that the high school (Class 10) and intermediate (Class 12) examinations date sheet of the year 2021 was being circulated on WhatsApp dated 17-5-2021 which says that examinations will be held from 05 June 2021 to 25 June 2021. This timetable is absolutely fake. FIR will be registered against those who have circulated this fake news."

CBSE Board 2021 Update:

The National Council of CBSE Schools urged Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank to conduct the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class 12 board examination even if it is delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation even as the demand for the cancellation of the CBSE class 12 board exams is growing. The National Council of CBSE Schools is of the inference that the Class 12 pass certificate was the most important document considered for entry into various higher educational institutions.

National Council of CBSE School's secretary-general Indira Rajan said, as quoted by The Hindu, that the council feels that the exam has to be conducted even if it’s delayed, probably even by using alternative examination patterns.
