Tamil Nadu 12th result 2020 declared: Pass percentage at 92.34%, girls outshine boys

The Tamil Nadu 12th results 2020 has been declared by the Tamil Nadu government at the official websites of the Tamil Nadu board - tnresults.nic.in, dge1.tn.nic.in, and dge2.tn.nic.

Over nine lakh students have appeared for exams at 12,690 centres this year. This year the pass percentage is 92.34% and it is the highest since 2016. 

As many as 7, 79,931 students appeared for the Tamil Nadu 12th exams out of which 7,20,209 have cleared the exams this year.

Tiruppur district records the highest pass percentage with 97.12%, followed by Erode and Coimbatore districts at second and third-best performance with 96,99% and 96.39%, respectively.

This year, the pass percentage recorded by girls is 94.80% is higher than boys' pass percentage which stands at 89.41%.

There are several private portals which will also equip measures for the students to check the results directly from their websites. However, for authentication purposes, it is advised that the students check their Tamil Nadu 12th results 2020 online directly from the official website.

The Directorate of Government Examinations has been entrusted with the onerous responsibility of conducting the Board examinations for the students studying in the State Board in Std X and XII. The mark certificates issued to the students of standard X and XII is considered as a vital and valued document for continuing higher education and for seeking job opportunities.

This year, the Tamil Nadu 12th results 2020 was delayed in view of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic outbreak. Last year, the results were released on April 19 and around 91.30% of students had qualified for higher education.
