In 2019, the Maharashtra Police had announced recruitment for 3450 posts of police constables, the written exams for which were supposed to be conducted by the Mahapariksha. However, in March last year, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray scrapped the portal of Mahapariksha and the recruitment drive went on hold.
Those who had applied for Maha Police Bharti 2019 Police Constable & SRPF can now edit their applications. The department has released a corrigendum and candidates can edit their applications unit-wise.
The Maharashtra Police Constable (Driver) Exam for Sangli SP was conducted on September 21, 2021, and the candidates who had applied for the posts back in 2019 can edit their applications.
According to reports, the Maha Police Department will start the recruitment drive from where it had left off. The online application process was completed by then and the Police Department had got the data of applications. Now, the Maha Police Board can conduct a written test for posts by the end of this year, however, nothing has been notified officially.
The state police department had changed the recruitment rules in 2019, adding the written examinations. Candidates who will pass the written test will be called for a physical test, in a ratio of 1:10.
To clear the written exams, a candidate needs to score at least 35 percent, which is the minimum cut-off. However, the qualification list will be released according to category wise. OBC and ST students will need to at least score 33 percent marks to qualify for the physical tests, which will be 50 marks with different criteria for males and females.
Admit cards and hall tickets for Maha Police Recruitment will be released soon.
