Rajasthan School Update: Government to reopen schools for classes 9-12 from THIS date - Details inside

In an order issued today by the Government of Rajasthan, schools state and private are to reopen from September 1 for classes 9 to 12. The order also issued a complete list of guidelines to prevent any COVID-19 cases in schools. The schools are to follow proper covid appropriate behaviour for the safety of the children, teachers and the non-teaching staff. The decision was taken considering the loss of education students have faced in the last year. 

Here's a list of guidelines issued by the government: 

- Govt schools, private universities, colleges and schools need to function at 50 per cent capacity. 

- Teaching and non-teaching staff should be fully vaccinated 14 days prior to reopening. 

- Masks are compulsory. The 'No mask No entry' system will be implemented. 

- Students and teachers are to maintain distance at all times. 

- With 50 per cent capacity, attendance will be optional

The Rajasthan government also agreed to make regular recruitment of computer instructors for schools and to reopen schools and other educational institutions in the state for teaching work. The cabinet meeting was held under Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot where many other decisions like including approval of Rajasthan Jan Aadhaar Authority Rules-2021 and amendment in various service rules were taken.
